Arresting drunks

Anyone provide a bit of advice on how to arrest drunks to sober them up? I'm in Hope River, and I've got both a sheriff and a deputy... but neither one seems to be able to haul my drunks off. I've tried selecting both the deputy and the sheriff, and with the lawman selected, clicking on both the drunk and on the bottle by the drunk, and its not working... I keep having the character active switch to the drunk. I'm doing something wrong, but how does this work please?

If you have a touch-screen/stylus, try dragging the deputy (or sheriff) onto the drunk (press the stylus onto the deputy and hold it on the screen while moving it to the drunk). When the deputy is correctly placed on top of the drunk, the cursor should become a liquor bottle. When it does, remove the stylus from the screen. The deputy should automatically walk to the drunk and escort him to the jail.

It can work by selecting the deputy (or sheriff) and then tapping on the drunk, but the tap has to be precise enough for the cursor to change to a liquor bottle; I always found it easier to drag the character, as my taps are often imprecise :smile:

Thank you very much for the reply... unfortunately, I don't have a touch screen... Motorola Q 9c. I guess I'll have to try to figure out how precise I need to tap.

Don't forget you have to have a Sheriff's Office as well :)

I have the same problem too. HTC S730 (no touchscreen). In Hope River i managed to drag a drunk to the sheriffs office. But I can't do the same with the "tutorial drunk". Same problem in next level.

This update very specifically addresses the issue with arresting drunks on non-touchscreen devices, and should also be fully compatible with your existing save games so you wont lose any progress :)
