View Full Version : Has anyone tried doing without cannons?

I thinking about dumping all of my cannons so I can maximize my cargo space. It seems that when I get in a battle and start throwing fire pots, the ship I'm hitting with my cannons seems to sink about the same time as all the others (granted, I'm only carrying 10). I'm thinking I may try to get by on just fire pots and chain ammo.

Has anyone tried this?

I've done that. If I have an opportunity to make same good money and if I'm sailing to a port that has a shipyard, I'll dump them all, load up and take off. When I encounter pirates, I will not fight but flee. :) If it takes a couple of attempts to flee, I'll just fix my ship up at the port.

I've not even done that. I've just loaded up on fire pots take on any pirates I come across. That's pretty much what I did when I had cannons anyway, I'm really not noticing the battles going that much longer.

Hve you tried to see haw many Fire Pots and Chain Ammo you can carry without Cannon as I very rarely use Cannon!

You can carry 99 fire post and chain ammos at a time (I assume the same limit is true for tiki bombs) regardless of how many cannons or how much cargo you have.

I have tried and my opinion is that if you don't need cannon then use th ecargo space for impotant things like cargo!
