I am playing the Boardgames on a 755P. One thing I have noticed is that it the options menu does not come up in Ludo or Snakes and Ladders easily. The first menu with Undo at the top does come up, as does the about menu, but the options menu is not there each time. This is frustrating if you need to turn the sound off quickly. Anyone else notice this?

Hi Chironsmate,

The "options" menu item is disabled whenever the dice shaker is active, due to a few problems caused by altering some of the options found under this menu while the dice shaker is in motion. As you have noticed this is most apparent in Ludo and Snakes & Ladders, but also affects Backgammon.

I can't remember if any of the audio options were part of this problem, so perhaps we will be able to selectively allow some options to be changed with the dice shaker open in a future update, but I'm not sure how viable that is :o

In the meantime however, if you really need to turn the sound off in a hurry, I believe the 755P has a small switch at the top of the device which will entirely mute it.

Paul, thanks so much for the explanation. Now I understand. I wondered if it was just myself experiencing this. Now I know how to work around it. It would be great if the audio options were more quickly available.
