Contraband?

I got busted for smuggling in my first game and I didn't even realize I was carring illegal cargo (I think I had tobacco, but I'm not sure). How can I tell what cargos are illegal? Are some things legal in some ports but not in others?

Wine and Tobacco are outlawed in various ports throughout the game. The port where the goods are illegal changes on a monthly basis. You can find out which goods are contraband where by visiting the alehouse and buying rounds of drinks.

Any goods you have in your warehouse will stay there regardless of whether they're contraband or not.

I'm not sure I understand...are you saying I have to be in the alehouse in that port to find out what's illegal there? By then it could well be too late and the cargo taken, right?

Hi there,

It canbe any Alehouse you go to. They will tell you in advance What the contrabanded cargo is and for what month it will be illegal and for which port. It is not something they will tell yo uevery time but a "few rounds" is always cheaper than losing the whole cargo.

I have the Port Authority Doll so do not have any problems. Never bothered with alehouse and am now heading towards my 2nd 100 Million!
