I bought a license for the PalmOS version of Boardgames and downloaded the game, but I can't figure out how to enter my registration code! I don't see any menu options for registration. Do I have to run the program a certain number of times before it asks for a registration code?

Hi there nelsonpj,

The register option is under the 'menu' option on the drop down menu. I don't know which device you're using, but most Palm devices have a button either on the silkscreen or a hardware button which brings up the menus.

Your other option is simply to start playing a game - the game will remind you to register on your first game, then again on your third game. A form will come on screen which will have a button at the bottom that says 'register'.

I hope this helps!

It's also worth mentioning that our games will automatically take any valid registration code from your devices clipboard. So if you put the code in your clipboard to enter it, the game will have allready automatically registered.

For reference, I've got a Palm TX.

I guess the game must have auto-registered. I'm pretty sure I bought the license and entered it into SplashID on my Palm before running the game for the first time (shows you how much I was looking forward to Boardgames!). I must have copied it to the clipboard before running Boardgames, thinking that I'd paste it into a registration field when the program started.

What's odd is that I can't see any evidence that I registered under any menu options. From the main screen, under the "Menu" menu I've got "Users", "Statistics", "Instructions", and "Exit". Under the "Options" menu I've got "Chess Settings" (because I'm on the main menu and chess is the currently selected game in the "selection wheel") then "Game Settings", "Player Setup", "Sound Settings", and "Language". Under the "About" menu I've got "About", "Credits", and "Support".

When you register one of two things happen. either the regiser button remaines visable and when you select it you get a message saing thank you for registering, or the register option dissapeares. on the newer games the register option dissapeares. I cant rememberexactly which boardgames does, but if you dont see an option to register, that usually meens the game is registered.

Hope this helps, and your enjoying the games,

Richard
