I'm addicted to chess, and I play on InstantChess.com It didn't take me long to form this addiction either. They have so many features is why. It's filled with features for your comfort in playing. They have game settings (change the game clock from 1 to 120 minutes (even allows increments), play rated or unrated, pick what color you want to play (white, black, or random). Choose your opponents class (rated from very high to very low, you choose what level to play against), Opponents country, team affiliation (they even offer teams you can join and play against other teams), friends search, just play registered players only, a sounds menu, piece menu, profile, and they will match you up with players you've put on your mates list.
If you want to play chess in a pleasant environment, kick back and relax, and go to InstantChess.com .......if I don't play a game of chess there at least once a day, I start to have withdrawal symptoms. :D
