Also make sure that you have *looked* at the thermostat, rather than just trying to fiddle with it :)

i've sorted the thermostat, but cant move either way once out of the buffet car now

Part of that is a Timming Issue you must wait and see others is you gotta try "EVERYTHING" if people are missing then you need to find another exit then a door...
