Hey, you're really lucky, because we can help.

So, assuming you're not the only guy in school with a moustache (because that really helps too), you've got to impress her. Maybe if you've got a really sweet bike, that'll help.

The main thing is that you've gotta have skills. Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills...nunchuck skills... bowhunting skills... computer hacking skills... that kind of thing.

Perhaps you could draw her a portrait. Just don't spend, like, three hours shading her upper lip.

Really hope this helps,

Had.

Although I have never had a girlfriend, I can tell you one thing: I have the same problem. I really like this one girl, but I am afraid that if I tell her that I have a crush on her, she will not only say no, but our friendship would be ruined. Ask yourself this question: Would you rather ask her out and know for sure whether or not she wants to go steady, or maybe loose her to another guy and never know.

Please ask yourself that! It has helped me on several occasions.

maybe loose her to another guy
This might not be the word you're looking for... maybe "lose", or quite acceptably but rather more surprisingly "lease".

Probably your best option is to learn some kind of instrument (not a wind instrument) and then write a song for her and burst into one of her classes and sing and play it for her in front of everyone. They really dig that, and whether or not she wants to go steady, she'll still totally respect you as a friend. And remember, nothing says "I love you" like a restraining order.

I think the guitar would be the best since you can sing and play simultaneously.

Animals have it so much easier, you know...

A few years ago, I had a crush on a girl, and totally messed up our friendship (It wasn't because I told her, but because of my behaviour). We never spoke again. I found out some time afterward that she apparently had a crush on me, too. I was devastated, because of making such a mess of things.

Love hurts. Oooooh, love hurts.
Someone should write a song about that.

They did I think it was Aerosmith or Warrent that sang it also....White Snake sang something about that as well and I can probably rattle off another hundred name but do to time and space I won't :)

Dude! Like Nike says "JUST DO IT!"
You will waste half your life wondering 'what if' if you never do it.
If she says 'no' then you move on. She's not the only woman in the whole world! :)
And even though it's hard to understand, yes there are more fish in the sea, etc. It's not just a crappy saying.
I've had girlfriends, been married and divorced and I can still find girls.

#1 Have confidence and just do it.
#2 If she says 'no' don't take it personally.
#3 Move on and when you find the next one, ask again.

If you have no confidence and don't ask, they won't respect you. If you are too chicken, they won't respect you. You gotta have guts!

I think you may be referring to Nazareth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazareth_(band)) - who recorded a version of the classic Everly Brothers' track 'Love Hurts'. :D

Oh, I know ;) Hence the way I wrote the lyrics :)

According to Wikipedia, there have been quite a few artists to record it - I think I'm most familiar with the Roy Orbison version; Cher's done one, but if it's anything like her dismal "Walking in Memphuss" (sic), I wouldn't want to hear it.

The "Love hurts" you are thinking of is no doubt Def Leppard?

Love bites
Love bleeds
It's bringing me to my knees

A friend of mine in High School thought the last line was "It's raining in Germany" which made less sense but was amusing.

If you mean me being the one thinking of Def Leppard, then no. Roy Orbison.

Ahhh, the joys of twisted/misheard lyrics. BBC Radio One, in the days of Bruno Brookes and Liz Kershaw, used to have Twisted Lyrics as a segment on their show...

And, although not actually mishead, a former work colleague replaced "More Than A Woman" in the song of the same name with "Bald-Headed Woman" - now I can't listen to that song in the same way ever again... Maybe some of you won't be able to either from now on... Why should I suffer alone? :)

hehehe :)

Unfortunately for me, someone once told to me a story that was based around a misunderstanding of Elvis' "In the Ghetto".... as "In the Gateaux".

Whenever it comes on my MP3 player, I get this little voice at the back of my head re-dubbing it now! ;)

My mother has told me a couple of times about my father getting lyrics wrong with a particular song (and Googling it just now hasn't helped):

His perceived version: "Let me introduce you to a caveman's hope"
Actual version: "Let me introduce you to a cake of soap"

!!!

Try replacing the words in ' Lying eyes ' ( Eagles I think ) With ' Sweaty Thighs '

You will never be able to listen to it the same again!

Actually, I went a different route with that song...

I don't know if anyone in England would admit to listening to Dave Lee Travis on BBC Radio 1 many years ago, but he used to have a just-for-fun game called "The Cringe". He would read out a story, to which listeners would have to guess the punchline - a pun on a song title

Example:
Original: Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft
Pun-version: Colin knocked two pence off into planner Terry's craft

Anyway, the story I came up with involved a big-game hunter who would keep the eyes of his victims - which was understandably unnerving for the woman he married whenever she dusted his study.

One day, she had enough, and issued an ultimatum - it was the eyes or her. So he reluctantly threw out the hundreds of pairs of eyes, but couldn't bear to throw away his most prized pair: those belonging to a huge lion which had been his toughest adversary. So he hid the jar in a closet - but his wife found them a few weeks later and brought them to him, saying...

"You can't hide your lion eyes..."

:D
