The Cat has ran away

I'm stuck in Marib, Syria. The cat ran away before it pushed over teh statue and I can't find it anywhere now. I can't get the statue. What should I do now?

Can you post details on what you did prior to this, I have never seen the Cat run off without knocking down the statute. If you can let us know what you have done so far in madrib it might help. I have litteraly played 20+ games and In diffrent order of events and never saw this. Any Details will help trouble shoot this issue you are experiancing.

A good source for help on issues is emailing a saved game file to support @ astraware.com With details. if you want you can email it to mbaker5408 @ gmail.com as well and I can always take a look at it.

I did the same thing....I pet the cat twice and it ran away and did not knock anything over. I had been to the club and talked with the cab driver, but did not have the money to get to Bull's Head. Could not get into the bathroom. Talked to everyone in the square that I could talk to, ahowed them everything I had twice, and rang the bell a lot.

I tried 2 locate the saved files but I couldn't.

The cat ran away as soon as I got to Marib, I hadn't gotten anything then & played around with it & the bell so it ran away w/o knocking the statue down.

Ok, maybe the cat will come back once you've done everything you need to do before getting the statue.


Some handy tips below... *possible spoiler*

Firstly, you can talk to everyone in Syria (not really required, but is part of the story).

Then, go the Club Alamut and try to enter the bathroom; you will need to read the sign and then ask Ultar about it. He will tell you that you need to retrieve something before being allowed into the bathroom and you will need Nejo's help.

If you have done all this and have entered the bathroom but the cat hasn't returned, then a save file might help us determine what happened here and why the cat has ran away.

With this in mind then Priscilla is right you need to do some more in madrib before you will have the cat part of the game....

Saved games are usually saved on your device under My Documents\My Saved Games\Broken Sword and the files numbers SWORD1.### corrispond to the saved game slot .000 is the autosave game.

I rolled back to an earlier saved game & picked up the game from then. I avoided the cat till I did everything else and then went for it, and it worked.

But this is a bug in the game, I had done everything else after it had ran off the 1st time & still she never went back and I wasn't able to get the statue.

I hope 1 of the developers would see this and fix it.
