ok I know what to do, it's obvious. Turn down the thermostat so the guard puts on his gloves and then can't feel the texture of the key. Unfortunately, whenever I turn down the thermostat and then talk to the guard, George says "It sure is hot in here". And after that conversation finishes I check the thermostat and it's on again...how? And I can't leave this area at all anyway so I think I'm screwed. Am I?

If you actually turned it down, you would go through a automatated action scene where you move next to the door and watch the guard put the gloves on. You may need to use the use key or search key on the thermostat (Can't use your stylst)

Good Luck, Try Remapping your keys if you can't get it with the buttons you need.

Thanks for your help but I think that just confirms I'm in a glitch. You see I've saved at a point after I turned down the thermostat - but he isn't wearing his gloves. I've tried turning it on then off again with every key I have and it's a no go. So I think I'm screwed..

I havn't had any issues with it.....If you have your saved game. and your willing to put a link to it up so I can download it I'll take a look and see if it's working for me. If not you might be able to email support@astraware.com and they may be able to help.

I found I had the same problem. I just kept wanderinng around and checking with the guard. Eventually he had his gloves on.
