anyway to return to the v1.0 pencil marks?

v1.0 allowed 3x3 grid of pencil mark numbers within a cell. Anyway to get that back in v1.3, or was the choice to see only up to 6 pencil mark numbers in a 2x3 (wide) based on some observations/research that people who get better only use up to 6 marks?

You can do that in the latest. Go to Menu->Options->Display and select "Number Grid".
