Well, I have to admit, I've now spent more time trying to fix (or restarting) a game than I've spent playing it. Playing it on a Tungsten T5, 512 MB card. Game installed on the card, and then....on the T5.

Astraware: Broken Sword should have been play tested much more than it was and on more platforms and in more configurations. After no less than 7 restarts of the game and countless crashes (as well as the $30 USD), I am giving up on your hype. So, when you introduce the next hot Palm game, count me out until AFTER about a year of reading the forums on it. This is the second time I'll be getting a first-run application from you...first and last.

Hi Harry,

Could I possibly first please ask if you can describe a little more about where the error seems to be occuring, and whether you've noticed any form of pattern to it? You mention the game is crashing (a lot) - could I ask if there are any error messages associated with the crash at all?

I'd like to try and work out whether this is a known problem, or something which we can try and narrow down and solve! Given you've had such a serious series of problems, I'm also happy to arrange a refund for you for your purchase of Broken Sword, but I'd also like to try and track the cause down as well. If you could just send me an email (mailto:kieren@astraware.com) letting me know your order ID (or the email address you registered with), I'll sort out the refund for you!

There is one known issue which can cause a crash, although it's *extremely* rare (in fact, apart from the two times I encountered it during the development of Broken Sword for Palm, I've still only come across one customer who has experienced it so far)
We're actually working on an update which includes a fix for that at the moment, but a full description of the crash will help me identify whether it's something new, or this issue.

As for testing, all our games undergo extensive testing on every single device we own (not to mention our fantastic beta team, who spend nearly as long as we do trying to break the game before release ;)). Because of the scope of the game, Broken Sword has probably received more testing than any of our other games previously, no small amount of which I personally performed.

Warmest regards,
Kieren
