New Scrambles

From time to time I've randomly gotten new scrambles in games, I was wondering if anyone knows what you need to do to get a scramble? it is score-based? is it cascade based? is it combo based?

It's score based. You get them at certain score thresholds.

Ah, good to know. I thought that might be the case since I hadn't really noticed any particular move was resulting in additional scrambles. But then I haven't noticed a trend with when they're awarded as far as score goes either.

Is there a maximum amount you can have at a time? I don't think I've ever had more than three at once.

You get additional scramble on every 300,000! As I wrote in another reply after I reached a million (and over 1,400,000) I didn't get any scrambles.... :(
