Hi,

I've been playing this game a lot. (I'm #2 on the classic score board right now - Hoo-rah!) I have been very disappointed that the instructions are so sparse. I run on a Palm T|X. My instructions basically just say, match three of the same color. That's all it says!

Obviously there are much better ways to get higher points. I know I have figured out some of them, but I'm sure not nearly all. When you pop 5 or more Chuzzles together and the eyes go into the jar with stars, those stars equal more points, right? Popping combinations must equal higher points, the more combo's, the more points? One time, I have NO idea what I did, I got 300,000 points and an extra scramble in level THREE! Boy would I like to know what I did there, so I can do that again, :)

Does anybody know of a place where I can get real instructions to this game?

Thanks!

The more Chuzzles you can pop at once, the higher the score - combinations and cascades are best, every subsequent match in a cascade gains you higher points for the same number of Chuzzles - you'll see a 2x, 3x etc..

Rainbow chuzzles are worth more, if you can get those to pop during a cascade you can get some serious points on that. I wonder if that's how you got your 300,000...

Try to set them up so you can get 2 sets to match at once, or a cascade - it's not easy, but you get the hang of it after a while.

I searched a bit on the site for more in depth instructions, but I couldn't locate any. I'm sure others will post their tips and tricks for getting higher scores.

Good luck, and enjoy the game!

If you go into the scores menu , and go into trophies, you will see all the trophies that are possible (NOTE: there is an arrow at the top to go to the next screen), if you tap on each of the un hi-lighted trophies, it will show you what you need to do to get them...there are quite a few to get, and not all of them are that easy....makes the game a little more interesting now...huh????????......Rich

PS. If you already knew this...please disregard as I am not patronizing anyone

I don't see any un hilighted trophies in the trophy screen. Just the ones I've already obtained.

-what about the eyeballs lining up in Zen mode from bottom left to right?

-how are big chuzzles formed?

-how are glowing chuzzles formed?

-how are locked chuzzles formed in each of the gaming modes?

-how many secret modes are there?

Thanks to you both for the info. I appreciate it. I'd love to see ackmondual's questions answered. I wonder about so many things. Nice to know about the rainbow Chuzzles, I hadn't realized that. It is so hard to tell how many points you are getting for things when you are making combos and cascades.

I have to say I would never have found what my 7 year old daughter did. It takes a kid to tap on a Fat Chuzzle so many times that it opens it's mouth and screams (she says it sounds like it burps). Or, like the little Chuzzles, loses it's hair. I wonder if there is any consequence to doing those things. Also when you make them angry, or the ones that have sunglasses on. Do you get more points or penalized for any of the above things?

I believe the repeated taps on the chuzzles and their funny faces and sounds are just for fun and don't affect gameplay (unless you're doing it in Time mode while time is running out).

It took me a short but not immediate time to figure out the rainbow chuzzles are *NOT* wildcards but a 9th type of chuzzle which yield more points per chuzzle.

You won't see them until v1.1 is out .. hopefully soon now. That's a feature in beta.

-what about the eyeballs lining up in Zen mode from bottom left to right?

That's a measure of how far you have got in Zen mode. If you get enough eyes (or Chuzzles on Pocket PC) then you get a stripe. Get enough stripes, and you get a charm.

-how are big chuzzles formed?

If you pop 4 chuzzles in a square then you get a big chuzzle. There are some small exceptions to this rule, so it doesn't always happen.

-how are glowing chuzzles formed?

If you pop 5 chuzzles of one colour in a single group, one of them turns into a glowing chuzzle instead of disappearing.

-how are locked chuzzles formed in each of the gaming modes?

In speed mode, they form when the bar at the bottom fills.
In classic mode, they form randomly, but more often as you progress up the levels.

-how many secret modes are there?
Only one!

I hope you are enjoying Chuzzle!

The big Chuzzle burps! You wouldn't be cruel enough to make it scream would you? ;)

There is no effect from tickling chuzzles. It's just for fun.

Neither is there any effect from making them angry - it just means that you are taking your time to make a move.

The chuzzles with sunglasses are also just a fun little thing with no game effect.

I like the 3-D glasses they get sometimes.

BTW, my partner's current high score in classic is 1,947,602. Guess I should go to the high scores page and check it out.

Actually: 2 chuzzles cleared in 2 adjacent rows.
Only one can drop in at a time.

Exception is when a Super Chuzzle appears and blocks the way.

Not good, but hitting 5 at once gives you a blinking one. You get an extra scramble when you get 300,000 points.

Does anyone know what that sunglasses on them are for??? I'm only ever to get one of them at a time but every time they have different glasses.

Just wondering?

here is some good info

Game Description

What the heck is a Chuzzle? Fuzzy furballs? Furry fuzzballs? It's up to you to figure that one out, but one thing's for sure - they're the hottest new stars in the gaming world. Incredibly fun, incredibly exciting, and incredibly addictive!

Game Rules

Click and drag like-colored Chuzzles to match at least 3 in a row or a column and make them disappear! The more Chuzzles you match at one time, the higher your score!

Game Scoring

A match requires at least 3 Chuzzles. The first three Chuzzles are worth 10 points each, so a basic match of 3 scores 30 total points. Each Chuzzle beyond 3 is worth 30 points. Therefore, a basic match of 4 scores 60 total, 5 scores 90 total, etc. Each level adds 10 points to this total score (not per Chuzzle). Matching 3 on level 2 scores 40, matching 4 scores 70, etc. Matching 3 on level 3 scores 50, matching 4 scores 80, etc.

A big Chuzzle scores 40 instead of 10 because it occupies 4 squares. For all purposes, however, it counts as one Chuzzle.

Chain reactions add multipliers to the basic match score. The second match scores its base score x2, the third x3, etc.

It's possible for a move to make several matches simultaneously. This is called a "Multipop" and adds a bonus of 100 that is not affected by chain multipliers.

Matching 6 or more Chuzzles is called a "Cha-Boom!" and scores a bonus of 100, on top of the base score.

When a Bomb Chuzzle is matched it destroys the Chuzzles around it, scoring a bonus of 200.

Matching a Locked Chuzzle scores a bonus of 100. If multiple locks are matching in one move, the extra locks have multipliers. The second adds 200, the third adds 300, etc.

Finish a level by collecting the required number of Chuzzles in the bottle on the left.

When the level ends, the bonus is 1000, plus a time bonus. The maximum time bonus is 2000, with 10 points subtracted per second from the start of the level. This bonus is multiplied by the level. The second level is 2000, plus double the time bonus. The third level is 3000, plus triple the time bonus, etc.

Game Strategy

(*)Think ahead! The more clusters you can clear at the same time, the higher your score will be!

(*)Clicking "Hint" gives a penalty of 500 points, or removes 5 Chuzzles (thus delaying the next level).

(*)Clear levels as quickly as possible. The higher your level, the more points you'll get!

This is not my original writting this is pretty much from this Site (http://www.worldwinner.com/cgi/rules/?g=chuzzle&game_id=152#scoring)

The sun glasses are just for FUN...At 300,000 the extra scramble is kinda like what you would call a EXTRA life in any other game...

The sunglasses are just there to be cool :) They really don't serve any purpose in the game. You have tickled the chuzzles, right?

So is it just a coincidence, then, that when I pop a Chuzzle wearing shades, I see a "X2" appear?

Mark, popping more Chuzzles in the heat because I only had enough energy to wiggle a stylus :)
