Thanks for your help. I gave the priest the chalis and left him rubbing it while I wandered around the church. This was before going to Syria. It was after I left the church and then re-entered that the priest had stopped rubbing it and turned his back to face the tombs. Does this sound like the bug??

Yes thats the known bug that you are triggering It's best to wait till after spain before giving the priest the challace as this will avoid the bug.. It can be sooner but If you wait your still good....
