Confused by hint

I was playing Sudoku 1.20 on my Palm T|E, and came to a spot were I was in desperate need of help. So I hit the Hint button:

Still not enlightened, I hit it again:

What this suggests to me is that, because the possible 2's in Box 7 are all in a line (Line 2, that is), I should eliminate possible 2's from Line 2 in Boxes 1 and 4. However, those cells aren't possible 2's to begin with (as suggested by the pencilmarks).

Is there something I'm missing here, or is it possible the program was misleading me?

Okay, I found my answer: Had's second post at http://board.astraware.com/viewthread.php3?FID=229&TID=4229&pagenumber=3

It seems that the program's hints will only consider pencil marks when Auto Pencilmarks is on. Otherwise, the hint engine can't tell that I've already done what it's suggested.
