I'm just stuck. I went to Spain and got the chalice. Once I figured out the Chess pieces the game immediately took me to see Nicol. I then left her place to continue the quest. I can't get back to Spain, no one is at the police station, there isn't a priest at the church to give the chalice to, the gendarme won't let me open the man hole cover, there is no bible, trees or twigs. I'm just wondering around from scene to scene.

The guard should be saying it's very late which is a Key to Hide somewhere....Hint Hint..

Hi Mike, the guard said it's late and I made a dash to the sarcophagus, but he stopped me. I hid behind it until he left, no luck trying to get in again. I opened the window to make him close it, but he caught me again. Where am I supposed to hide?

You got the right idea it's just a timing issue when distracting the guard with the window.
