I'm evaluating AW Sudoku, but I'm a little confused by something on the webpage

First it says:
After registration the game allows you to add a range of additional pre-built puzzle packs. These extra packs are available free from http://www.palmsudoku.com for Palm OSŪ handhelds.

Then it continues:
The unlocked version of Astraware Sudoku includes a puzzle creator which generates literally billions of true Sudoku puzzles, all solveable by logic alone and a puzzle solver, so you can input any Sudoku from a newspaper or book and Astra.

So it if has a puzzle creator (which I'm assuming means that it can randomly generate puzzles), why does one need puzzle packs? Is the Puzzle Solver something seperate from the creator, or is it combined, in which case I guess the creator means putting in puzzles (from newspapers) and not that it can create puzzles on the fly like I thought.

Thanks for any clarifications.

Hi

The Puzzle Creator creates individual puzzles one at a time in the difficulty you request. Depending on what level of puzzle you request, this can take a few seconds. The in-built puzzle packs are sets of ready-created puzzles which, once installed, can just be played without waiting.

One of the main things when we created Astraware Sudoku was that we want to make the game as flexible as possible so you can choose how you like to play the game, so we offer lots of different options.

Kind regards

Just to add...

The creator can take some time to create the more difficult puzzles - and having batches available right now just saves you waiting.

The most difficult puzzles actually can take several minutes to complete - and may take several iterations before they get there, and so for the very highest difficulty levels, these have been created using our suite of supercomputers, and put together for you to download ;)
