View Full Version : Game Over...it can't be!

I'm playing the game on a TApwave Zodiac 2. After experiencing crashes upon entering Moerlin's room from the ledge, I backtracked, got the parchment from the desk clerk and left the Paris hotel. After being searched and busted by the police, I find myself in a wooded area with the message, "Game Over - tap screen to continue" ...but after tapping, there's only going back to a previous Save or starting over! What's going on, I know there is more from reading some of your posts.

OK, you've been killed by the gangsters. You need to find another way of getting the manuscript out of the hotel and then leaving without it in your hands.
Clue: take the manuscript back upstairs. It should exit the building and then you can leave safely and collect it later.
Warning, there are further episodes later in the game where this can happen, so remember to save often!
Kind regards

Alison- For some reason, when I'm on the ledge ready to go into Moerlin's room, my Zodiac crashes, and that seems to be the only thing I can do upstairs. If George's escape involves that scenario, I can't go there.

It's crashing out on my Tungsten E2 as well if I try to go into Kahn's room from th ledge. It causes a fatal exception and resets.

swissarmyevan- In a perverted sort of way, I'm glad that it's crashing someone elses device at that point in the game. It's not just that misery loves company, but it better to know that it's a bug in the game, and not something specific to my device (perhaps an incompatible app, etc.) that's causing this crash. I guess that astraware monitors this forum for bugs, because they should know about this, shouldn't they?

Hi swissarmyevan,
I've been working with sculptedstylus to see if I can find a cause for this problem, and hopefully any information you can provide about the problem on your device willl help me narrow down common factors to reproduce it.
Could I possibly ask if you can look in your Palm Desktop backup folder for a file named "BS1-saves.prc" or "BS1-saves.pdb"? If you can locate the file, can you please email a copy of the file to "kieren@astraware.com (mailto:kieren@astraware.com)"? If you run into any problems trying to locate the file, please just send me an email and I'll see if I can give more specific instructions!
Warmest regards,
Kieren
