A guy walks into a hotel....

A guy walks into a hotel....and can't get out. This is where I am stuck right now and can't figure out what I should do. I'm not looking for a big hint, but I think I need to do something with an item in my inventory. However, without any instructions on what types of things can be done, I'm not sure what I can do with the items in my inventory.

Some tips would be VERY helpful.

Yes and yes.

Without trying to spoil anything for others, I've talked to all 3 people inside the hotel and there doesn't appear to be anything new I can talk about. I got a couple of items from the second room, and I have the additional item from the safe. As soon as I leave the building...the game ends.

I'm pretty sure I need to do something with one of the items in my inventory, but I'm not sure what I can do with them.

When you have obtained the item do not leave the hotel with it in your possession. Go back to the hotel room, throw the item out the window into the alley. Once you leave the hotel room, exit the hotel and retrieve the item. This is the bit that I got stuck on the first time I tried the game too!

I tried dropping the item in various places...just not the right place.

I can't even get any items in the hotel not from the clerk not from anyone else. Help please

OK, how much progress have you done in the hotel? Have you been inside the rooms? You need to collect three (or four) items from the hotel, have you found any of these? Maybe all you need is some help from a "Lady"... ;)
