The info file that comes with the program does not specify what can be input from the digitizer. I've found that certain letters will trigger certain functions, but is there a complete list somewhere? The program documentation is, to put it politely, incomplete.

One thing that I find interesting but doesn't seem documented is a screen entitled "hint" that shows the difficulty level of the puzzle, a solution rating, and then codes for what techniques are needed to solve the puzzle. This seems to pop up when you tap the digitizer, and so it has popped up accidently quite a bit. Though the title of the box is "hint" it doesn't register as a hint on the finishing page (which is good, because I don't want accidental taps to count as hints). But, what do all the technique codes mean? And how is the rating generated? A beginner puzzle I tested this on rated about 4500 and a tricky puzzle about 7800. What do the numbers mean?

Thanks!

The "hint" you're seeing is a result of a "." being made on the digitizer. Since no one from Astraware has posted the full list of shortcuts, I'm not sure if they are supposed to be released, I'll leave that one to Kieren or Howard to explain. :)

See this thread for a bit more info:

As for how you access a dot on a Pocket PC... that's a bit more of a challenge and I'll have to ask our Windows Mobile experts :)
