Request about pencil marks.

Great game! I love it.

I have a request about pencilmarkt too.
I like to pencil in by myselve, but it would be very handy if the pencilmarks could be automatic updated/cleared.

By default it fills in all of the pencilmarks when you put the option on, and then auto-clears them.

We'll look at the possibility of having it only optionally fill them to begin with, but still let you remove them.

The only (potential) problem is that the hints system won't know whether a candidate isn't in a cell because you've removed it (deliberately) or just failed to enter one in yet... That could lead to it giving you hints which don't work. At the moment, when you ask for a hint it uses its own "complete" internal set.

Two questions to make sure i do understand you correctly:

... That could lead to it giving you hints which don't work...This means that the hint system doesn't look at what is pencilled in. That sounds logical, and i think that that is the same in the actual version. A pencil-hint system sounds a bit overdone to me :).

Not currently, but looking at it as an option in a future release. We've got so many improvements lined up it may take a while :)
