This might seem impossible but I kid you not. I got a high score of 393,240 on the advanced mode of Bejeweled. I got 4,210 matches and 1008 cascades. It took me hours to get to that score, and a couple pause breaks to recharge my cell phone. But once I hit 100,000 points, I felt unbeatable and kept pushin. Finally my eyes started playin tricks on me at 3 am and I slipt behind and my time ran out.

The best score I ever actually saw on bejeweled was my pop's. He used to play that game like crazy. His current fix is Richochet, but he used to rock the house on Bejeweled rather often. Best I ever got was a little over 100K. Peanuts compared to his best.

My personal highscore is 220000 in timed mode on my iPaq. Almost every time I play I score more than 100k. I never play non-timed mode because it frustrates me :o)

At a certain level, timed mode is mainly a matter of "how long can you keep it up"! ;) Highest ever (palm OS v2.23) is recent (not yet registered - seem to have lost the link to the table due to the "valentines edition") and a little over 13.7 million, highest registered score is 6.3 million. It takes hours for a single game at that point, plus multiple battery re-charges. Having got the big score, I'm going to go away and get a life again. ;)

Hi guys! I'm a little new here though I've read the posts off and on. Just wanted to say "WOW!!" How do you guys rack up such impressive high scores. I've reached 100k (barely) once and more often than not, have to settle for something a little less.

To get 1.5m is amazing.... but admittedly, rather frightening too :)

Jase - it does depend on which version of the game you're playing. I've tried the flash version of timed game, and in a few games I didn't really go much over 100k. On palm OS, I've gone past 10 million 3 or 4 times now - they're just long games. ;)

Still, to get scores like that is amazing. I played it on my aged M515 and got some decent scores but never in the range of millions. I'm now playing it on my X50v and I'm still as bad as I was before ;)

I'm still in the middle of an active game and can't tell you how many cascades I'm at so far because that isn't displayed until you lose but so far my highest score is 536,660 believe it or not and still running AND that's not even in regular mode, that's in ADVANCE mode!
Last high score was over 300,000 and the phone could not even save it! It gave me the main screen high score of -(negative) -22,000 lol

I did a google search for "bejeweled high scores" and wound up here. A day or two after obtaining a new Treo 700p I had a high score of about 50K.

Looking at the scores here I thought something was out of whack. Then I sat down to do some work and thought... "OK, just one more game".

Now I'm hoping it will end. Still playing... and I'm in the 400K plus range.

What an addictive little monster of a game.

For those wondering (and it's a surprise to me), it seems you get extra "lives" or extra "turns" once you obtain a certain number of bonuses or points (not really sure which). Then you seem to be able to rack up lives/bonuses faster than deaths and it just goes on, and on, and on....

I was getting tired of playing and had work to do. Decided to hit the "home" key and presumed it would pause my game.

Not so much.

However, before I left, my score was at 480,000+ points and I had a little icon in the lower right corner showing (4x) bonuses, which I presume means "turns to play".

At the rate I was going I could see how someone could make a million points. I'd simply worried about losing my game (as I just did) after investing so much time!

I made reached my goal of a million and then some! I made it to 1,545000, or easier said as over 1.5 million before having my cell freeze and lose the score and game completely. I did have the brains to grab witnesses several days before hand just in case something like that were to happen and to take pics.
Ever since losing the game I've lost much interest because I don't know if i'll ever make it there again easily AnD it's extremely stressful always wonderig if the cell will reboot or lose the game so in a way I'm glad it's over lol

A few days ago, my top score was a measly 30-odd thousand in timed mode. My brother generally got more like 90k. Because of this, and because I have an interest in WinAPI programming, I decided to try and make a program that would play automatically.

I finished it this afternoon. The program takes screenshots of the board, identifies the gems in each square, uses a simple algorithm to decide where to click, then moves the mouse and clicks accordingly. I just tested the program and got a score of 1,232,165. With a bit of modification I'm pretty sure I could improve this almost indefinetly.

I can see how people get a lot of satisfaction from beating their high scores, but I gained far more satisfaction from completing this program than I did when playing the game. Odd, that.

I also made a modification of the program which uses a similar technique to play and win Minesweeper, generally taking about a second. This too works very nicely.

I don't intend to distribute either of these programs, but be aware that it is fairly easy to write such software. I'm not a particularly skilled programmer, yet it only took me 10 hours or so to do. Anyone with a little knowledge and enough motivation could write something similar, so be warned!
