I've just maxed out Candy Train - got the highest possibe score in every line of the hard level high scores:

The highest level I've cleared is level 8. In my best game, I hit 99,999 on level 5, then kept going until I was about to pick up the caboose on level 9 when I crashed. I've been playing for about four months. I'll still keep playing for fun now.
Great game!

Congratulations!
I notice you've added your high score to the tables already :)

Thanks! This is actually the first time I've hit the highest possible score in any game on any platform. I'm exceedingly fond of Candy Train! ;) Yes, I entered my high score in the online table even before I had finished maxing out the list on my palm.
There's a glitch in the table or the score code generator, though, because it shows 99,995 instead of 99,999. I tried "Export High Score" after a couple of different 99,999 scores, just to make sure, but it gives me the same code every time. I've seen this type of glitch mentioned before for other games, and it doesn't surprise me. If there's a score so high the game can't handle it, I don't really expect the high score table to handle it either. It doesn't bother me.
I'm now trying for the highest level (working on 10), although that won't show on any lists. I think my highest level will be limited by my processor speed, unfortunately. I already had to turn off all the nice graphics I could to keep it running smoothly past level 4 or 5.

Hi Kitfox,
The reason for the score displaying as 99,995 rather than 99,999 is well understood, and down to the way we export the scores into the code.
To allow for larger scores to be exported than say, Candy Train supports, all high scores are divided by some factor becore being encoded. When the score is submitted, the number encoded is then multiplied back up by the same factor. However, due to this, it can only manage to the nearest whole multiple of the factor (in this case 5).
For games with "short" scores, we could probably reduce the export factor to as low as 1, allowing the entire score to be exported easily, and I'll suggest that the next time we update it!
Warmest regards,
Kieren
