Hiya. I've read lots of posts and documents on getting Insaniquarium to work on a Tungsten T3, but still no luck.

Could someone explain, in very simple terms, how to get it working please?

(I've got both the HiResPlus-EnhSound, Landscape and not, along with the StatusBarLib and AppSlipRotate files.)

Looks like I needed to move the insaniquarium file from the card to the memory. shame - nice to keep everything on the card

Hi Bacchae,

Hmm...both hi-res+ versions of Insaniquarium should work just fine from SD card on the T3, I've just double checked it on one of our own.
Could I possibly ask if when you tried to run them from card, whether you got any error messages at all?

One thing worth noting is that the AppSlipRotate and StatusBarLib files must both be installed to main memory (they make changes to the way the Palm handles API access to the extra area of the screen, and so have to be available at all times), but the game file itself can be on card or in memory.

Could I also ask if you use any third party launcher software, such as Launcher X, ZLauncher or the like?

Thanks!
Kieren

I had the non-insaniquarium prc files on the main ram.
the insaniquarium file on sd didn't work, but was fine in ram. the error was that the file i had installed wanted 320 x 400 (?) screen size and I should install the correct prc ffile for that.

Does anyone else find the t3 crashes when pressing home to quit a program.

nothing like zlauncher etc running. just the standard screen.

Hi Bacchae,

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, it's been a touch busy this week!

That crash you mention when you tap the home icon is very worrying, I get the impression you don't just see it in Insaniauarium, but other applications as well? Could I possibly ask if you've applied the Tungsten T3 ROM update from PalmOne? A number of the "original" T3s had some problems with the SD card slot, which the update fixes.

Also, the T3 should be capable of running both the landscape and portrait hi-res+ versions, so could I possibly ask if you had tried both from the card? I know it might sound odd, and I would expect them to behave identically!

Finally, could I ask what screen orientation you normally use the T3 in? (portrait, portrait hires+, landscape, landscape hires+)? Given the ...peculiarities of the T3 and it's screen rotation and resizing APIs, there are a couple of modes where if you try to start Insaniquarium it will claim you don't have a compatible device...even when rotating the screen and retrying works!

Warmest regards,
Kieren
