Does anyone else have a problem where WM creates a
fatal exception and locks their machine?
I run a m515 and have noticed this particularly on
the hard timed mode.
Any ideas?

hi.
yes having just tried with the m515 I had a fatal alert/fatal exception. It happened on the second round right after drawing the board and positioning the coloured tiles. Have you noticed any particular action which causes it?

I was playing the untimed easy ok (mostly)
But *everytime* I play the timed game it crashes.
It seems to be triggered as I touch the screen with the pen. Can't see anyother pattern than that.
Have to say, I am a bit miffed because I only registered it a couple of weeks ago.
While we are on the subject, has anyone else had difficulty seeing the purple bonus square on their machine? Guys, PLEASE change the colour!

Hi Bacchae,
Scarrie is one of our QA testers, who has been trying to reproduce the bug reliably here for us (something which makes it much easier to both fix and confirm it's fixed!).
We're actually working on an update to Word Mojo with an eye to fixing this exact problem at the moment, so any information you can give us on it might help!
So far, the main common element I've seen with this crash is the fact that it occurs at the point where the game would draw the coloured sqaures onto the board (its done the board itself, but crashes before the squares are placed). Does this match with what you are seeing?
The crash definitely doesn't seem to be free space related, although the second hidden block of memory your Palm uses to run programs (called "Heap" memory) a potential factor. We always test for the minimum normal and heap memory requirements before releasing a game, building those into it, so in theory it shouldn't be behind it, but there a chance those figures are just a touch too low.
You mention the crash always happens on Timed mode, does it happen at or after a particular round? (In Word Mojo, a round is defined as 6 sets of letters, just so we are using the same term! :)) So far, it seems most common at around round 4, but a few have experienced it earlier.
Anything at all you notice that you do might be of help!
Warmest regards,
Kieren

PS: I have also added a request to at least make the purple square lighter, since the contrast is a bit poor on low-res devices!

Ok, just tried a few more games.
Timed easy - got to the sxth round (the middle indicator!) and as the board drew it died.
What I should have mentioned was I normally run all games off a memory card. This is when it crashed.
I have just played a timed game off the palm memory and died on level ten - no crash.
Just a thought. I'll post more as I go.

Hi Bacchae,
I had expected a crash even from main memory, but it's interesting that it seems to be less common from it than from card. Could I possibly ask what make of card you use?
Also, could I possibly be a pain and ask for a list of the other software installed on your Palm? (particularly any launcher software you might use). We still haven't ruled out the possiblity that there is some piece (or pieces) of third party software that makes the crash more likely to occur!
Warmest regards,
Kieren
