View Full Version : High Score Board Flooding
threephi

Howard, I recently accidentally entered my name twice in a game\'s high score board, because I had forgotten which email address I used to ID my scores. I used the same user name for both scores however, with the result that \"threephi\" appears twice in the same top ten. I don\'t think this should be possible, since otherwise people could flood the scoreboard with as many scores as they want. Maybe the appropriate web wizard in your shop can put in a \"one per name\" rule, and perhaps even better add a \"one per IP address\" restriction.

In the \"future plan\" is...
High score export is only available if you\'re registered. Since we have your email address (because you registered) then we can validate that scores only come from registered users, and also make it so that only one per email (per game per level, etc) is shown.
That has lots of other good side-effects too, of course!
Howard.

That is much more fair if you do it that way 4-sure.
Good look with setting it up, it's a lot of work.
Succes
