On Dynomite Stomped, on level 23, a weird thing happens. It appears that there are a couple of eggs all the way to the left that are not attached to anything. It looks like one egg is missing on the ceiling. As soon as you break a group of 3 anywhere on the screen, these eggs will also fall. Has aneone else noticed this?

You wouldn\'t happen to have a screenshot, would you? I can\'t remember which level that one is. What\'s it called?

I\'m not sure of the name...Stalagtites maybe. It\'s the one with strands of eggs hanging down. How do you get a screenshot?

Oops...it\'s actually called Pretty Picture...
It\'s the red egg, block, white egg, and purple egg in the upper left.
When you match 3 eggs anywhere on the screen, these 4 also fall.
Sorry about the screenshot...I couldn\'t figure out a better way to do it.

You did good! :D. Linkesoft makes a program that allows you to do screencaptures with the push of a button or the flick of your stylus www.linkesoft.com.
ok...this is the shot I got:

I noticed that those eggs always fall after you get 3 matching eggs. Never really thought much about it. I don\'t know why that is. Anyone care to chime in on this?

That is definitaly a bug that know one has ever seen. To tell you truth, I have never even seen that level before. I am really bad at stomped, but I play it all the time (hoping to get farther). Anyways, that is a bug and it needs to be fixed. :)

Not true. I have seen it quite a few times ;). I never really thought of it as a bug. I just figured that is the way it is supposed to be.

I\'m new to these boards and this company. What happens now? Is this something they are looking at? Will there be an update with this fixed? Or is it not a big enough bug to worry about?
Just curious.

Hiya!
The process that happens here is along the lines of:
1) Beta testers spot a bug that we haven\'t seen.
2) We try to gather as much information as possible - which level, what conditions, what device, what settings. Screenshots if possible.
3) We try to repeat the error using the same hardware setup and game setup.
4) If we can confirm finding the bug too, then it depends on the severity of the bug and the complexity to fix it.
If its either an important bug that harms the enjoyment of the game, or a bug that is simple to fix, it\'ll get fixed.
If, however, its something fairly trivial to the game but would take quite some re-working to fix, then the chances are it will be left either indefinitely, or for the next major update.
From what I can understand from your posts - this is a situation where it matches many eggs at once where perhaps you weren\'t expecting it. That\'s something that probably doesn\'t make the game worse - some players (like me) would be glad of something like that :)
An interesting one to look into!
Howard.

Thanks for your reply!
I am pretty sure this IS a bug, just a single egg forgotten to be assigned in the programming. It looks like the game does not check to see if any eggs should drop until a match is made. It is then that the game realizes that the 3 eggs and 1 block in the upper left are not attached to anything and so they drop too.
They drop regardless of where the match is made, so it\'s not just a case of them being involved in some big chain that I haven\'t noticed.
I have played the Popcap web version quite a bit and it does not happen in the corresponding board.
I use a Treo 300, but Cheryl gets the same problem with her device.
On the other hand, I realize this is probably not a top priority. It is a bug, but a minor one. It doesn\'t crash the game or the device. It is just a couple of random eggs on a single level. The programming seems to be correct, just a single egg was not assigned on the board.
Thanks for the reply. I only write because of the perfectionist in me. If this is never fixed, it won\'t matter, Dynomite is still my favorite Palm game (Insaniquarium runs a close second :)) Keep the awesome games coming!!!

:D I am glad it is there. I very rarely get past this level. I think I have once or twice.

Here is a screenshot I took in Dynomite, after I got a Dynomite combo. The eggs seem to be above the board, but you can\'t see them. Is this normal to happen?

I get that to happen occasionally, especially on the level called Spiderweb. Some of the special eggs push the whole stack up several levels to give you more time. Spiderweb has 2 of these you can get very quickly, so most of the eggs are above the viewing area. I end up playing most of that level \"blind\".

Yeah it is normal ;). Makes things kind of interesting, don\'t you think? Have you had the eggs disappear off the screen yet when you shoot them off to the side? That\'s fun, too ;).

It maybe fun but its annoying.I the early beta, the speed was such that it took ages for the eggs to be visible again.
This was changed so that when the eggs are off the screen, they now drop quickly until they reappear.
Stop complaining! ;)
