I agree with you about the USPS. It took $1.60 to mail, and took about 10 days to get to AW. It only took about 4 days to get back.

I think it is all a revenge thing with the advent of Email. The post office is still ticked that everyone is not using Snail Mail anymore and they are loosing money, hence the increase of postage and the lack of promtness. I personaly like FedEX, \"The World on Time\" vs. USPS, \"The World Standing Still\".

I think the only thing the USPS does well is sponsor the USPS Racing Team (The fastest thing with USPS branded on it). Go Lance! Although, I liked it better when they were Team Motorola...

Ah, give those poor folks a break. You don\'t want to get postal workers angry, you know ;)

When you think about it, 37¢ to send a letter anywhere within a very large country is a pretty good deal. And $1.60 is a lot less than you would\'ve paid FedEx if you really wanted it to get there sooner.

Consider me weird, but for package delievery I groan when I have to use either Fed Ex or Brown. Invariably I wind up waiting for a truck that shows up at the end of the day. USPS I go to my nice little post office and pick it up ON MY SCHEDULE - my P.O. is even open on Sa****ays! To my experience they are just as dependable as Fed Ex or UPS, and do not have the bottomless appetite for blocking roads with their delivery trucks.

With FedEx or Brown you DO have the option of going there to pick it up - or having a friend or neighbor take it, or have it delivered to your work addy. Use some imagination.

Yes, they will leave a note on your door saying they missed you and will attempt delivery the next day or you can come to the facility after a certain time in which the truck that has your package is scheduled to be back at the facility where they can then retrieve it off the truck for you. I have had no problems with either. FedEx is really quick at getting them from the back, I think they have a better systems (computer) than brown. Or you could have your packages delivered to a local UPS Store near your home if you are a US resident.
