I have recently been playing quite a bit of the elegant and ancient game of Go (http://www.usgo.org/index.asp) on my computer. Go is different from Chess in many ways, one of which is that computer Go programs aren\'t nearly as good as the best human players, which means that I have a chance against these programs! My favorite is GNU Go (http://www.gnu.org/software/gnugo/gnugo.html), an open-source (so it\'s free ;)) initiative to write the world\'s best Go program, which gives me a good game at its middle skill setting. There are Palm versions (PilotGo (http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/9634/pilot.html), for example, which is based on an earlier and weaker revision of GNU Go, and AIGO (http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/iizuka/AIGO/AIGO.html) which is much stronger) but I haven\'t found one that can give me a challenging game.
Another great computer Go resource is IGS Pandanet (http://www.pandanet.co.jp/English/), an online Go server that supports playing over the internet against people all over the world. There are hundreds of games in progress at all hours and at all skill levels.
Any other Go players here?
