Does the scoring system for the same game on Palm and PPC work the same?

Pretty much the same.

BGB,

That is a good question, I was thinking about this the other night. Because the games are released to both platforms and someone could post thier Palm Hiogh score and then likewise a PPC High score.... Would they be on the same scale...

I know the scoring between the AW released games and the ones on PopCap for example are not the same....

Well, since I have a lot of experience with both, I\'ll have to say I see no difference. Cheryl and Mikewake might want to chime in here, but I\'ve noticed no dissimularities, and I think I would\'ve noticed.

You know, I never really thought about it. I will check it out and get back with you :)

I just checked out the high score boards in the PPC games. It says View the online high score table for the Palm version. But you can post PPC scores. I am thinking everyone shares one board.

If so, we can share the same threads in the High Score Podium for both PPC and Palm:)

The scoring system is always identical between the two.

However... minor differences in timing and responsiveness between models (whether between a Tungsten|T and a IIIc, or a Sony NR70 and an Ipaq), will mean that some games are a little easier to make better scores on with a particular device. Over/underclocking can also affect it too.

We try to make it stay as fair as possible, and within all reasonable limits, Palm and Pocket PC scores should be completely comparable.

We\'ll be overhauling the High Score display pages again to make this clearer, I expect.

I make a point of not opening gender ;) specific threads in the High Scores area then. (ie. Mummy Maze for PPC)

Threaten to unplug its dongle. You\'ll get no further problems from it :)
