Bejeweled High Scores

I was wondering how everybody gets those amazingly high high scores that are on the high scores list... I just got :( 130000 :( in Timed mode and I just can\'t get more than that ;) is there a certain strategy that could help me improve my high score?

This is most likley something you should post in the bejewled area. I am not sure if the old posts are still there, but there were a lot of suggestions and things for getting hi-scores on Bejewled.

To answer your question on high scores, I have found to get a high score, use the timed level, it appears to be the \"Hard\" Level. Another thing to do is try making big combo\'s. The bigger the combo, the more points. ;)

Here\'s one of my stradegies I use, make your rows of 3 or more gems
as low as possible on the game board, it increases the chances of bigger combos when the gems fall. ;)

I\'d give one of my high scores, but I reset them when I installed the latest version. :)

Boy, and I thought my score of 115,000 was good. I can see that this was a good place to find and that I'll be spending a lot of time here soaking up all the great info that's been posted!!!!

I believe the scores in the Online High Score table are cheats! There was once a score cheat method, but has since been removed. Howard, I'd suggest you clean up the High Score table. Those scores are near impossible to obtain.

I'll PM you about an idea for the High Scores that I have.

They certainly aren't all cheats. I have had one or two of the top all time scores in Palm OS for the timed game and knowing I don't cheat. Once you get to a certain level, it is only down to how long you can keep going without missing something or making a mistake. It does take hours, I've never gone over 2 million without having to pause the game and come back to it. I'm just trying to register my recent (best ever) score of 13.7 million, but there seems to be a glitch with the registration code. keep an eye out for it. ;)

In my humble opinion, save your Power Cubes and Hyper Cubes until you really need them, either when your almost out of time or just out of moves, you can keep yourself going for alot longer, it helped me get to 2,201,050 this morning :) God i need a life....

My current high score on the timed "ACTION" setting is 3,705,650. I am trying to register it as a high score online but the site doesn't recognize me. Think DH may have registered the game in his name when he bought it for me.

i don't play much of the hyper or the classic version, i try to stick to action mode, my top score isn't too great though.

I beleive that some of the previous post are refering to the pocket pc or palm os version, I believe that 37 millions is a little too much for the PC version. I have the PC version and my top scores are

Classic: 462.811
Action: 921.800

I dont know what hyper mode is that I see folks talking about. I have been playing Bejeweled2 Deluxe in the classic mode. My current (and best so far, but still ongoing) game is at 28,310,071. That is on the PC version. I haven't played the timed version much.

Hyper mode is an unlockable that you can access after you reach level 18 or 19 in Action mode. Everything moves really fast. The other unlockables are Cognito, Twilight and Finity. I don't like Classic mode because it's too slow to me. My high score for Hyper mode is 1,163,600 and My high score for Action mode is 2,197,850. I'm somewhat addicted to this game.
