I am still unable to post my high scores to the Dynomite high score board. I have v1.0 installed but am still getting the msg that says the score is from an old version and that I need to download the newest.

Hi Cheryl, silly question - if you look in the \"About Dynomite\" screen from the options menu, what version number does it give you there? Is it 1.0 or 0.96?

That\'s not a silly question :) I have version 1.00 dated January 16, 2003.

Hi again Cheryl, sorry it took me so long to track down and solve the problem.

You should now be able to submit your high scores to the table without any problem - we have a setting in the tables set up wrong so if thought you had an \"old\" high score. Doh!

Hi Kieren,
It\'s almost fixed. I just entered my code for my high score of 35590 but on the webpage my score is coming up somewhere around 17,000. I worked hard to get that score ;)

Hi Cheryl,

I think I have that fixed now. There was a mutliplier value that did not quite match the game one...so it kept dividing everyones scores by two.

Sorry! If you re-enter your score it should appear correctly now.

Yup. Works fine now. Thanks Kieren :D

After I submitted my hi-scre to Dynomite, I got this message:

Submit a high score

Thankyou for submitting your high score!

The code you have provided was for an earlier version of Bejeweled for Palm, and is incompatible with the current high score table. Please go to the Bejeweled for Palm web page and download the latest version (you require version 1.42 or later). Your registration information will be copied across, but you will lose your existing high score information.

I went back to make sure it was the Dynomite hi-scre table, and it was, why is it doing this?

Ok, this is weird. I got it to work (I put the wrong code in). I then submitted and it showed me as second. Then when I pressed \"show all\" my score was no longer there.

I was also wondering how to export more than one score (such as endless vs. stomped).

Ok, I just submitted my Stomped hi-score and when it did that, it put it under continuous. Why is it doing all of these wierd things (sorry for so many posts)?

DBZ, you have inherited the curse of the mummy (from the PPC beta) :D

LOL! :)

But seriously, what is wrong with the hi-score table?

I wish I knew. It is definately still busticated (chuffed?). I don\'t think it is distinquishing between the easy, normal and hard levels of stomped. I haven\'t down anything with endless yet so I don\'t know if there is a problem there. I can say that I got my high score from the normal level of stomped (35,???) posted last week thanks to Kieren fixing the score board. Today I entered the code for my high score on hard level of stomped (23,910). It showed that score as number 1 for stomped and my other score was nowhere to be seen. I checked this month\'s high scores and only my 35,??? score was on the stomped board. the 23,910 is completely gone.
Shouldn\'t the scoreboard have scores available for all levels of play? My score of 23,910 on the hard level was much more difficult to achieve than the 35,??? I got on the normal level.

I just tried to post my high score for the easy level of stomped. This is what I got: Your score of 50980 (Continuous) has been added to the Dynomite high score table.. I have never even played continuous. Something is still amiss with this score board.

That\'s what happened to me, just the other way around.

Heya guys, sorry I haven\'t replied earlier but I had been hoping to have it completely fixed before I did!

We\'ve rearranged the high score tables so there is now one for each mode (the source of your rather bizarre error earlier DBZ as well) - the high score system in Dynomite was exporting for 6 tables, but our database was only arranging two of those tables into data (and not in a sensible fashion either!)

By the looks of it the scores have shuffled themselves out into the proper places, but if you wouldn\'t mind chercking and letting me know? It should work properly in the future anyway, earlier scores could have been messed up by what it was doing before.

The scores appear to be placed correctly now :). The only problem remaining is the same one we are experiencing with Insaniquarium: I am unable to view all high score tables. The screen only fits three and a small amount of the fourth one. There is no scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to move left and right so cannot view the other scores.

David is aware of that particular little \"issue\" and is trying to fix it - it seems that fixing it will take a bit of thinking since it\'s an especially odd problem.

It should fix the problem with viewing all the Dynomite high score tables too!

Cool beans! :D Thanks for taking care of this! :D

I tried submitting my high score for the Continuous Normal level. Looks like that board is scrambled, too because this is what I got: Your previous score of 65250 (Stomped
Easy) was higher than the new score of 28340.
I tried playing Continuous Hard level, but cannot even beat any of the default scores (maybe it is too difficult?).

Hi Cheryl,

The Dynomite high score is now officially the bane of my life!

Hrm, looking at it you actually already have a high score higher than the one you tried to submit on the Stomped Normal Mode (49310), so it's probably something to do with the way the high score board is searching through for other high scores from the same person.

This sounds like something to bug Haemish about, so I'll do that when he's next in!

I agree. I am more of a Stomped player than an Endless player, but I would be shocked (and a bit suspicious) if anyone got a high score up on hard.

Curses....I hadn\'t forgotten (just shuffled this down a bit). I haven\'t had chance to give it a good hard blank stare, but I keep meaning to :>

Seriously, I\'ve been quite busy recently and had a look at it briefly, but hadn\'t had chance to look into it properly!

I know you have been quite busy recently-playing April Fool\'s Day tricks on us poor PPC users :P ;). I know there are truly more important things that you need to do :).Just didn\'t want you to forget!

I think we have it!

Well...actually I think we had it a while ago, but it needed some developer time to fix it :)

I'm sure I posted about this elsewhere, but I'll mentioned it again just in case - the problem was caused by the high score export function, specifically the section which encodes the game mode. Traditionally we've never had more than 3 tables, internally labelled 0,1,2.

Dynomite extended this, quite logically with 3,4,5. However, the export function only had a 2 bits available for the game mode. So while it worked well in binary for modes 0-3
0 = 00
1 = 01
2 = 10
3 = 11
4 = (1)00
5 = (1)01

As you can see, because there were only 2 bits for storing the game mode, modes 4 and 5 would appear to be modes 0 and 1...hence Continuous Normal exported as if Stomped Easy, and Continuous Hard exported as Stomped Normal.

The latest version of Dynomite in the pre-release area should now include the fixes to this, and in theory it should all "just work" now.

Way to go! :D Only now I can't try it out because I don't have a Palm device anymore. Oh well :).

Did you ever hear of a Palm OS simulator?

Yeah I've heard of it - just never took the time to find out about it.

You have to get the sony simulators.

I tried to install the simulator, but got "the dynamic link library DAL.dll could not be found in the specified path". Any ideas as to what I need to do?
