Like nothing more than to slob out at home, and let off steam with a console game ?

Chat about your fave and least fave console games here!

Console flame wars are tolerated here - as long as you keep to the Queensbury rules :)

By far, I think X-Box blows everything away. The consol I like after X-Box is PS2. THe best games ever for the consols are Halo (and Halo 2, when that comes out) for X-Box. Then Socom US NAVY S.E.A.L.s for PS2. The game that will also be cool for both PS2 and X-Box will be Starcraft: Ghost when that comes out.

I know, but, as I forgot to mention, I dislike Game Cube alot. It does not have as good as games as PS2 or X-Box, and most of the games for it are all \"little kid\" games, such as Mario Sunshine, etc.

Bite your tounge dbz! first of all super mario sunshine isn\'t a kiddie game its actually very fun if a little weird. The gamecube has wonderful graphics and almost no loading time. Secondly there are lots of good games for gamecube ie. Metroid Prime, Super Smash Brothers Melee, and the new zelda once it comes out. Oops sorry about going crazy there but can\'t stand it when people disregard the gamecube as a kid system and go off on a tangent spouting something about halo :P all in good fun though

New Technology is nice, you get to see lots of great games but isn\'t it nice to pull out the good ol\'e NES system or the old C64?

Yup.. it is really nice to play the \"old\" games sometimes. Newer isn\'t always better. We have an old Atari 2600. Yar\'s Revenge and Space Invaders are two of my favorite games :)

I like Metroid, and the new Spy Hutner too. But, I absolutly hate Super Smash Brothers. It may because I always loose, but I really hate that game. I have played it many times but I always loose, my friends always kill me first in that game, I hate it. I also hate Mario Party (series). I have never played such a boring game in my life. Anyways, I am not trying to rip on the GameCube, it does have some pretty good gmaes (sadly, I have to admit that).

We picked up a Nintendo 64 for 30 bucks for the kids. They love Mario Party, but it practically drives me crazy. It is sooooo boring! Oh well, it keeps the kids happy :)

Yeah, N64\'s are really cheap now. A lot of friends still play theirs even though some of them still have later systems. But they are all starting to stop and all because of one reason. All of thier paddles are starting to break. Buttons collapse(2)ing (Had, hope you cought that hint, ;)), and their joysticks are falling apart. I wil still remeber Mario Cart though, and Perfect Dark... :)

There has not been a single day since October 17th I haven\'t played. Yes, I played on Thanksgiving, Xmas, and New Year\'s Day. Actually, I celebrated the new year with them. Lordy that game is addicting.

http://www.animal-crossing.com is a monthly newsletter by Nintendo of the game. It should explain it.

It has the great games and great game controllers!
And you can emulate a lot of old game memories (like snes/sega megadrive etc)

And ofcourse the best OS ever: LINUX

no way X-box kicks man also medal of honor is a great game it's almost like halo but it's world war 2 game which I love

That would be incorrect. No where does it say they are going to make it just for the PS2. If you look at the FAQ (Starcraft: Ghost FAQ (http://blizzard.com/ghost/faq.shtml)), you'll see this:

"Q: On what platforms will StarCraft: Ghost be available?
A: A: StarCraft: Ghost will be available on the Xbox™, GameCube™ and Playstation® 2."

Although PS2 is a good system, X-Box is much better ("power"wise). GC just sucks though, IMO. :P
