Hey, I was jsut wondering how the \"featured member\" works. I don\'t care if it is me or not, I was just curious on how you feature people.

I didn\'t write the bulletin board :)

We picked it up from www.blazeboard.com , where it was available in a fairly complete form.

Admittedly we added lots to it, fixed bits, changed how some bits worked, but over 90% of the board is still the original code.

Some bits (As you\'ve seen me write!) are just rather nasty, which is why I don\'t try to delve too deep.

The board was written originally by a loose team of a dozen or so people, with varying coding styles, no coherent view of how the systems ought to work and be presented, and without too much idea of what \"commenting\" is for. It makes it \"an interesting challenge\" for me to work on the board. I\'ve learn\'t a lot of PHP in the last year as a result :)

I *could* try to find the bit about the featured member, and give an exact answer, but I was just guessing using my observations as a guide :)
