Diamond Mine

There isn\'t really anyplace that is PPC specific so I thought I would post here. Take a look at the icon for Diamond Mine:

Notice how it is missing some color on the bottom?

It shows up fine on my screen. I don\'t know why you can\'t see it. Are you sure you\'re not subconsciously trying not to view anything PPC related? ;)

Nope. that worked once when I couldn\'t see Chris\'s screenshot, but it\'s not working here.

My version is 1.23 !!! So what\'s that all about? By-the-way, I\'ve had this game for eons; I bought it before PPC beta testing was happening. Maybe I need an update, but don\'t want to mess with success :P

How did you get the bookworm to show up for your icon? I have BW for mine. I like the worm much better :)

Try deleting, soft resetting, and reinstalling. Sometimes the icons get hung up and need a kick in the pants. :P

But look at Abysma. I had to delete the game, as it was dysfunctional. (don\'t like it anyhow :P)

I deleted Bookworm and did a soft reset. Then I downloaded BW from the website-just in case I missed an update. I installed and still get the BW icon instead of the bookworm. Oh well. Hey, will the icon change depending upon where the program is stored? I installed BW onto my SD card.

My Rooks Revenge has a different icon, too. This is really weird.

I have all my games on my CF card; I don\'t think there should be an issue with the sd card, but am not sure.

You might try looking (with your file explorer on the PPC) at the folder that has the game in it, and see what the icon looks like there. If it\'s the one you want, copy it to your games folder (after deleting the old one). I don\'t really think this will help, but it\'s worth a try. With all the icon problems you\'re having, I\'d suspect that battery program you have.

The icon I get on my screen is the same one that is in the program folder and the same one that shows up in the shortcut. Oh well. It\'s not a big deal, just kind of weird.

I have the BW icon, is it supposed to be soemthing else? I had problems with Bookworm and having to do soft resets all the time. I don\'t think it\'s the battery program. I have version 1.23 on Diamond Mine like you do Gatewood. And I have now color problems with mine Cheryl.... When did you download your copy?

I see what you see now, I downloaded all the latest versions of the released games, more specific, Diamond Mine ver. 1.24. I see the missing color!

It\'s the icon in the start menu [i[(recently run programs)[/i]

I have been playing around (umm I mean learning about shortcuts. I put shortcuts to all my games in the program folder (\\startup\\programs\\games). Anyway, I noticed that the AW games have 2 separate icons. One that shows up in that folder and one that shows up on my today screen. Sorry if someone has already said something about this but why is it like this?

I put a shortcut to all my games I have installed to:
\\\\MyDevice\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Games

And then I check the box in the \"Settings\" -> \"Menu\" option for \"Games\".

So all I have to do is tap the Games folder and then I get them all in one window by themselves.

The icon changed when you put it somewhere else, because most launchers created a hash database with the icons for all apps in it. When you go it to the launcher it just checks for the names of the apps. If it doesn\'t have an icon for an app it look for it in the app and then puts it into this hash database. This process speeds up loading time when you go into the launcher.

This is really weird. I am using Dashboard now on my 2215. One of the display options allows you to have large icons on the screen. The large view of the Diamond Mine/Bejeweled icon looks just fine.

So why does the smaller version look like it is missing some color on the bottom?

You mean that little goober in the lower right corner? Take a look at Gemdrop. It has a little dark spot there. Maybe it's an Astraware gremlin. :)

Yeah, that's the one. I don't see it in Gem Drop, though.

The one on Gemdrop isn't grey (or colorless) like the Diamond Mine one; it's black.
