Wow, I have recently been looking at the memberlist of beta testers...708! That is a lot of people. I would say only about 10-60 percent of them have posted...and about 10-20 precent have over 20 posts.

891 members.
4% have over 101 posts
6% have over 51 posts
10% have over 21 posts
23% have between 2 and 20 posts
9% have 1 post
67% have zero posts

Basically, 39 people have over 101,
50 people have between 21 and 100,
and 802 people have under 21 (90%).

Yeah, but how many have signed and mailed NDA\'s? I bet the number of testers that have will suprise you ;).

Yes, there is a big difference between ACTIVELY beta testing and just getting access to \'pre-released\' games.

39 people looks like the number that actively TEST.

And if we wanted to break it down further, there are even less people that post to the boards on a regular basis so it seems like even less :).

...I\'d consider myself an active beta tester, Pritch.

Beta testing for PPC users has been somewhat slow lately and remember: it\'s quality, not quantity. ;)

Slow? That\'s an understatement ;).

Yeah, but how many have signed and mailed NDA\'s? I bet the number of testers that have will suprise you ;).Well only an AW worker can tell us that.

BTW
(*) About 6-8 of the people that have over 101 posts work for AW.

(*) About 10 of the people over 101 posts never posted in very long time.

I will endeavour never to make such sweeping generalisations again. (Based on the headache that I had this morning, I shall also never drink again... ) ;)

BTW, Palm testing is also pretty thin on the ground at the moment.

I used to be a beta tester (Mummy Maze, Atomica). How do I resume beta testing?

Thanks...

-Steve.

You need to get an NDA and fax it to Astraware. Can you see the forum \"IMPORTANT: Changes to beta testing system?\" If you can, go there and print it out. If not, email Had, or get him to post here. :)

I cannot find that forum. I would appreciate if the info was either posted here or e-mailed to me directly.

Thanks for the response.

Hi Steve, always nice to hear from our old beta testers :>

The thread DBZ mentioned has been eaten by the great god of thread expiry :>
At the moment I am sending out NDAs personally myself (so direct all NDA queries to kieren@astraware.com (mailto:kieren@astraware.com)).

The only bit of info I need to know is a \"are you over 18?\" question. I\'ve sent you an email so you can answer in private :P

Some words of inspiration. (This is a quote MP3 put in his signature once.)

"It’s not how may posts you have that count, it’s what you have in them that does."

Well, you also weren't here when we did this either. Also, I think they took into consideration of who they saw posting too. ;)
